Mushroom picking by the train lines on a winters evening.
lyrics
Step outside the square
C'mon if you dare
it's waiting
We'll go creeping through the
silver starlight on a
spiral flying
through the night
Don't look up
don't let 'em see your face, no
there's a train coming
barrelling down the tracks now
and a fog's blowing in
and I wanna show you something
just down here
it won't take long, I wanna show you (it won't take long)
I wanna show you baby
I wanna show you I wanna show you baby
lord where I'm coming from
Sax Solo
I wanna know
do you wanna go?
to the place?
cause I wanna know
do you wanna go?
to the place I'm coming from?
There can be no turning back
doors may open you might wish were closed
just step on through

I'm sad to see this era of Beastmaker close out but this is a phenomenal way to do! Black Butterfly might be the best thing they've ever done. dianonhead

The rhythm section is in a hypnotic groove, the bass with an extraordinary gravely tone anchored in doom, while layered lead guitars dance and interweave in jams reminiscent of a hazy sun-baked Woodstock. Add in some existential lyrics which call to mind Albert Camus' The Stranger (which inspired The Cure's Killing an Arab) and what you get is a superb album. Summer of Love?... more like Summer of DOOM! Master of Alchemy
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021

This is stoner/psychedelic rock of the highest quality.Lord Vapour are no longer togeather but they went out at the top of their game. A magnificant release. Maybe one day they reunite. lloydd
